Adani Green Energy is planning to develop Pedakota pumped storage project in Dayarti village and Madrebu village, Alluri Seetharama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh. The water for the reservoir will be sourced from Sarada river – a minor river between Mahanadi & Pennar. The project involves setting up of 6×300 MW units and a upper and lower gravity dams. However, the project is under scrutiny of environment ministry regarding the ecosystem of Boderu and Sarada river.
